Air China carries three million passengers in September

Air China continues to surge ahead in growth figures, recently reporting that it had carried nearly 3.1 million passengers in September, 2017 alone, signifying a leap of nearly 6% from 2016.

Adding up the accumulated numbers for the first nine months of the year, passenger numbers on board Air China craft have reached nearly 26.3 million, with growth of 11.3% when compared o 2016.

September's passenger load factor was 83.3%, lifting the January to September load factor up to 78.3%, a 2.1% growth from 2016.

Cargo traffic also lifted, with the first nine months seeing 694,520 tons of cargo being carried, an increase of 14.3% on the corresponding period in the previous year.

This healthy report comes quite soon after news that China's civil aviation authority announced that it had approved 27 new international routes to Europe and America to open over the next few years.
Five Chinese carriers, including Air china is expected to benefit from these new decisions. Already there are plans to launch 206 more flights on existing routes to America and Europe from Chinese carriers.
