Lockheed Martin Awarded $40 Million Radar Contract from United States Army and Boeing Gets $17.7 Million Army Contract

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) recently announced that it has been selected to provide a Tactical Reconnaissance and Counter- Concealment Enabled Radar (TRACER) capability to the United States Army. Under this contract, Lockheed Martin will work with the Army to incorporate low frequency synthetic aperture radar systems into Predator class unmanned aerial vehicles. The total value of the TRACER contract is approximately $40M. The U.S. Army said Friday it awarded a $17.7 million contract to a unit of Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) to remanufacture and build new parts for the Apache Longbow attack helicopter. Under the agreement granted May 1, McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co. will provide unique spares for the helicopter for the Saudi Arabian government. The company was incorporated in 1916 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
