Jet begins New York service

Jet Airways has launched its flights connecting India with the United States, with daily flights from Mumbai to New York via its European hub in Brussels.

Flight 9W 228 (Mumbai-New York), departs from Terminal 2A Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport daily at 0210 hrs and arrives in Brussels International Airport at 0740 hrs. The flight will depart Brussels at 0940 hrs arriving in New York at Newark's New International Liberty Airport at 1155 hrs.

From New York (Newark), 9W 227 (New York - Mumbai) departs daily at 2025 hrs and arrives at 0940 hrs in Brussels. It leaves Brussels at 1140 hrs and arrives in Mumbai at 2230 hrs the same day.

Jet Airways will use a brand new Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft to fly this route, which will carry 312 passengers in a three-class layout.

Jet Airways' First Class suite provides over 26sq ft of usable space, featuring dual sliding doors that create complete privacy. These suites feature one of the world's longest First Class beds at 83 inches, and 23 inch flat screen monitors. The menu choices are extensive. The finest of French Wines, Champagnes, including vintage Dom Perignon and Krug and a library of single malt whiskies are also offered.

The new Premiere lie flat beds feature a 73" bed length, that electronically converts to an 180 degree flat bed with lumbar support and massage systems.

The new economy seat has a seat pitch of 32". It has been custom designed using the science of advanced ergonomics to create a more comfortable seat.
